Some kids' rooms look like a Pottery Barn catalog spread, with photos in matching frames and other decorative items on the walls.
And then you have my daughter's room. 
I've mentioned before that her walls are bright orange--the better to clash with her pink tie-dyed comforter, maybe. But we're seeing less orange on those walls with each passing day. A few weeks ago, she asked if I had any magazines she could cut up. Thinking she had a project to complete for school, I handed her several magazines and told her to recycle them when she was finished.
I got suspicious when she never went looking for the poster board.
Those magazine pictures were not part of a school project after all--they were an ongoing effort to wallpaper her room in lipstick ads and funny headlines. At the rate she's going, you won't notice those orange walls at all by the time summer vacation starts.
