I get that a lot these days.
One week of warm weather, and every single tree in South Jersey decides to get going all at once.
Then there are the hyacinths, lilies and other spring flowers populating every supermarket, home-improvement store and even convenience store I happen to visit.
Let's just say I've been stocking up on tissues lately, because I can't keep them in the house.
My second-grader's teacher has sent home requests for tissues as well. The cold season is beyond the kids, but now they're all sneezing and sniffling because of allergies. And my kitchen counter looks like a mini-pharmacy. One of my kids takes Claritin. The other two take Zyrtec. My older son and I swear by our morning dose of Excedrin Sinus to clear out the nighttime stuffiness.
I've also learned my lesson about going to the Philadelphia Zoo in the springtime. It was a lot of fun to visit there with my younger son, my friends and their boys, but the zoo is also an arboretum, which meant that I was exposed to so much pollen that my left eye started to swell shut. I discovered what happens when I take a Benadryl before bedtime: I'm absolutely useless until noon the next day.
COUPON TIME
Did you notice the lovely pollen-green color I chose for the heading this time? My car is that color too, no matter how many times a day I hose it off.
