What's on sale in March?
Flowers--Valentine's Day is over, so florists aren't so busy.
Now's a great time to get a deal on a nice bouquet.
Boats
Jewelry--it's a couple of months until the next "jewelry holiday" (Mother's Day) so jewelers will want to unload their inventory now.
Winter gear & clothing--everything for winter sports, as well as allwinter apparel, is on final clearance now. Of course, the selection will be minimal, but you can get some great bargains if you're willing to hunt for them.
Bicycles--just in time for spring riding! My cousin would tell you that you don't have to wait for spring to ride bikes--he just finished a 350-mile bike trip through Alaska. In the snow.
Luggage
Homes (buy before April 30 and you can get that $8000 federal housing credit!) Also, there may be motivated sellers if the homes have been sitting on the market all winter.

Air conditioners

Great advice on the jewelry bit-- I had no idea there were jewelry sales right now- I do know they mark down quite a bit when they're trying to offload them, but didn't know there was a usual time for that, thanks~!
