It's only March and my daughter's already sporting a sunburn from her first day of spring track practice. The sun is clearly stronger than we think it is at this time of year!
Unfortunately, a 14-year-old girl is completely unconcerned about wearing sun protection. It doesn't help that it will turn tan by tomorrow. She's invincible, you know--she's a teenager.
Hopefully the rest of us know better. She doesn't want to hear about my good friend who died from skin cancer before her 50th birthday. But my friend's story sure did scare me.
