This morning, my oldest son had to be at school at 4 AM. No, he doesn't have double detention--his class is on the way to Florida for the annual senior trip. 
Yesterday we went through the last-minute flurry of packing and weighing the suitcase to make sure it was under the forty-pound limit and putting shampoo in small containers that meet the airline-travel standards and bringing the suitcase to school for inspection. Then the bags were loaded into a container truck; the kids won't see them again until they get to the hotel.
Last night my son had dinner at home. Tonight he'll be eating at Epcot. He and his friends have been planning out their time in the park so they can make the most of their experience--and eat food from as many "countries" as possible. The jury's still out, though; will they have dinner in Japan, Morocco, or Canada?
