Maybe I should rephrase that: the post-blizzard diet.
Who else gained some weight while hibernating inside during and after those paralyzing
snowstorms that have been a hallmark of this winter? Even Dallas got a foot of snow--when's the last time that happened?
Thunder thighs only work for Olympic speed skaters. The rest of us just can't rock that look.
So if, like me, you've made a few too many batches of cookies and loaves of bread and filling soups and stews while you were snowbound, and then you had way too many taste-tests of said cookies, bread, soups and stews, you might be ready to rethink your eating habits.
We're looking at a week of rain here that's going to wash away the last of the snow. When the snow piles disappear, so will the excuse for sitting around eating.
