Are you a "Wheel" watcher?  I used to watch it all the time when I was a teen. wheeloffortune But I'd gotten away from it recently, until my youngest son started playing "Wheel of Fortune" in his second-grade classroom.  His teacher uses it to help them review their spelling words and vocabulary.

I don't like the new rules on the show.  (They're probably not "new" anymore, but they're certainly no improvement.)  It used to be that in the Bonus Round, you got no "freebie" letters.  You had to come up with your letters all on your own.  Now they give you the 6 most-commonly-occurring letters in the English language absolutely free:  R S T L N E, and you get a few more besides.

Could they make it any easier?

I think they need to ramp UP the difficulty of the game.  For example, if you want to buy a vowel, you should have to pay $250 for every occurrence of that vowel in the puzzle.  After all, your spin of $500 means you get $500 per occurrence of the consonant you guess correctly.  Buying a vowel is a loser move, in my opinion; it takes a lot of risk and excitement out of the game.

I also miss the prize showcases.  Remember how they used to spin the showcase, and you'd see a strange assortment of trips, home appliances, and life-size statues of dogs?  The prize showcases were half the fun.
