Raise your hand if you use the coffee mugs or teacups that came with your dinnerware set. coffee-mugs

Anyone?  Anyone?  (Bueller?)

I didn't think so.

We've got an entire shelf full of mugs of all kinds in our kitchen cabinet.  I bet you do too.  These range from "gifts with purchase" to mugs with clever sayings to souvenirs from vacation to presents from the kids.

I'm kind of amazed that it has taken this long (I'm on my 14th year of having children in school) for one of the kids to buy me a coffee mug at "Santa's Secret Shop" for Christmas.  But it finally happened.  Now I can drink my after-dinner cup of tea in my tall pink mug that says "Mom, you're great!"  My husband prefers to have his coffee in a mug featuring Dr. Seuss's "The Lorax," while my daughter fills a flowered mug with ice cream each night.

Who needs those itty-bitty teacups that come with the dinnerware anyway?  I'll stick with my mismatched (but generously-sized) mugs, and just consider myself shabby chic.
