There's no way I could ever claim to be an athlete. But that doesn't mean that I hate sports. And winter sports are some of my very favorite. 
Basketball, of course, is at the top of my list. I used to play it in grade school, so I have a good idea of how the game works (I'm still getting a handle on baseball and football, both of which I never played). It's fun to watch basketball, because the games are so fast-paced. I'm a big fan, too, of the Harlem Globetrotters, who have made an art form of making amazing stuff look easy, and seem to have so much fun playing the game.
This year I'm excited for the upcoming Winter Olympic games. Only 59 days to go! I've already bookmarked the schedule page so I can watch my very favorite Winter Olympic event: luge. And I know that my kids are going to be hoping for some winter weather, not because we live anywhere near Vancouver, but because if they get a snow day, they'll be able to spend it parked in front of the TV watching ski jumping, bobsled and speed skating.
