Wait. Make that a crocodile. And paint it to look like a panda. No, I haven't lost my mind. I'm just asking for the trendiest gift of all--in Bangkok.
Would you believe that giving a reptile a makeover is a big hit in Thailand right now? 
Everyone's excited about the newborn baby panda in the Chiang Mai Zoo, so aquarium workers are grabbing black and white paint and doing color-by-number on the baby crocodiles.
The new color scheme doesn't fool me, though. All that face paint still can't hide the sharp teeth on that crocodile. And he's certainly not cuddly like a baby panda.
Lest you worry, the paints are watercolors and non-toxic, and they wash off the minute the croc takes a swim. Nobody dares to paint an adult crocodile, either. Clearly they know their limits. But when they finish painting all the crocs, they move on to elephants--requiring an even bigger brush and a stepladder.
