It wouldn't be Christmas without the obligatory "screaming child on Santa's lap" picture. 
My family knows this firsthand. We don't have to go to the mall; Santa comes to the big family reunion on Christmas Eve. And every year we know there will be at least one baby, toddler, or even a preschooler who will lose it at the very sight of Santa. One of my nieces was absolutely terrified by the jolly old elf--even when brightly-wrapped presents were offered. It got so bad that one year my mother-in-law spent the entire time Santa was visiting the party upstairs with this little girl, who didn't even want to see Santa, never mind sit on his lap and pose for a picture.
As soon as everyone arrives at the Christmas-Eve party tomorrow, the speculation will begin. There will be a 6-month-old baby there. Will he cry, or will it be his cousin (older by one year)? The fun really starts when the preschoolers finally get it--Santa's not scary, and he brings you some great toys. These are the kids that practically mug Santa before he even gets to the seat of honor next to the Christmas tree. Now that's a photo opportunity.
