We're very busy planning a party for this weekend.  My older son will be receiving the honor of Eagle Scout, and in addition to the traditional ceremony, there will be a dinner to celebrate. eagle-scout-thumb

By the time we invited the Boy Scouts and leaders, our family and friends, the guest list wound up topping 100.  It's a good thing we're not having this party in our home.

So this week will be spent ordering the cake, making cookies for dessert, getting tablecloths for the food table as well as the round tables where our guests will eat, and buying soda.  Is there a rule of thumb for how much soda will be needed for this many people?  We'll have spring water also, for the non-soda drinkers, as well as coffee and tea.

It's easier to estimate the number of paper plates, cups, napkins and forks we'll need.  Which reminds me--those also need to go on my shopping list.  (That list is getting longer by the minute.)
