It’s that time of year when the mailman brings everyone loads of catalogs from all kinds of stores, including places I’ve never even heard of. 
This year, they’re going straight from the mailbox to the recycling bin. Who needs catalogs?
It’s taken me this long to figure out that I can find all the stuff in catalogs–and more–online. And often, the deals are better, especially when you add in free-shipping offers that are not always advertised in catalogs. The other day I was cleaning out a magazine basket in my living room, and I found all the catalogs from last year’s holiday shopping season still in there. I’d never even opened them–not once. This year, I’m eliminating the middleman and just tossing them all as soon as they get here.

Who needs catologues? My family does! Well, not really, but we run a business from home and we use all the catologues and newspapers that we get. We scrunch up the sheets of paper and use them as padding when we post boxes of goods out to customers. In winter catologues and newspaper comes in extra-handy because we use them to start up fires in our fire place in the evening.
