What is it about cell phones that leads people to leave all courtesy behind? Here, in no particular order, are the top 10 rudest cell-phone-related behaviors. I've witnessed them all. Sadly, I've witnessed all of them frequently! 
10--holding a very personal conversation (loudly) in a very public place.
9--cell phone in one hand, land line in the other, conversation going on with a person in the room at the same time. Nobody knows who you're talking to or when to answer.
8--holding up a line to order food because you're on the cell phone too!
7--2 people sitting in a restaurant, each using the cell phone, never speaking to each other.
6--speakerphone (and people who shout while using it).
5--holding a cell-phone conversation while you are a front-seat passenger in a car, ignoring the driver completely.
4--texting at the table.
3--requiring that anyone who calls your cell phone listen to an entire 4-minute song before being connected to you (or your voice mail). That's other people's minutes you're wasting!
2--thinking that you must answer every call, no matter what else you happen to be doing or who you happen to be with. I've even seen people take calls in church, and recently I visited a doctor's office that had a sign in the examining room: "Please turn off your cell phone while you are being examined."
And the Number One rudest cell-phone-related behavior: using the cell phone in the bathroom. Gross! Dropping the
phone in the toilet? Karma!
We won't even go into the sheer stupidity of texting or dialing while driving. And it's not just teens who do this! On my way home from the supermarket today, I saw a car in the next lane that had a sticker identifying it as belonging to a parent at the same school my kids attend. I passed the car and looked over to see whose mom it was--she was texting at the wheel. I just kept on going, intent on creating as much space between her car and mine as possible before she lost control of things.

Seems the behaviour of people using cell phones is the same all over the world. I can only speak for Germany but the type of behaviour is exactly the same whereby number 10 is probably the number 2 here in my country
