There's a chill in the air. This morning I wanted my winter gloves as I stood outside waiting with my kids for the school bus to arrive. 
And it's definitely time for everyone to put away those shorts and tank tops and bring out the long-sleeved shirts and cozy socks.
I discovered, a week or so ago, that my younger son had outgrown most of his jeans and sweatpants over the summer. Fortunately, he has an older brother and we also have a generous neighbor who passes along play clothes her son has outgrown. So I brought out the tub of clothes in the next size and rummaged around in there. That got him one pair of jeans as well as plenty of pajamas, shirts and sweats. And it opened up some space in my basement closet! Having my two boys ten years apart means that I have hand-me-downs in 5 or more sizes taking up space in the storage area. I appreciate that I have them when the little guy needs something fast, but it was nice to clear out a little extra room--especially since my daughter's making noise about needing storage space for her summer things.
