This week I wandered into a bookstore and just couldn't resist the giant display of wall calendars. There were so many different ones, each cuter/cooler/more colorful than the next. And I'm just not very impressed with the wall calendar I purchased last year. It was big on space for writing, but small on style. 
So when I saw the Retro Mama calendar, it was all over. There was plenty of room to write. And with a busy family of five, I need all the writing room I can get! But there was also plenty of style. It fit right in with my kitchen, where I have some antique food signs for things like graham crackers, chocolate bars and gum, as well as a couple of antique kitchen tools. Those are not just decorations--I actually use them.
This calendar looks cute in the kitchen and gave me a good laugh. It's a 17-month calendar, so I didn't have to wait until January to use it.
