It's deadline time again! So many things are coming to an end at this time of year. School is wrapping up, spring sports are just about done, and it feels like everyone I know is just getting in that one last push to accomplish things before summer's here.
Is it just me, or is it harder to accomplish anything during the summer? I always think it'll be easier, because I don't have to get everyone up and out the door for school; I don't have any lunches to pack, and there are no school clothes or sports uniforms to launder. However, I'm always wrong about summer being easier. All my grand plans that include routines and chore charts and, well, plans, go right out the window. The kids want to visit friends or have friends visit. They want to sleep late (except for the youngest, who is up at the crack of dawn and who will have to be kept quiet, entertained, and company-free until everyone else is awake). They want to go to the pool.
So I guess it's time for me to buckle down and get things done now, before school's out and we're all running around like crazy.
