Things started out so well on my NCAA tournament bracket.  I picked 15 out of the first 16 games.  basketball-hoop

It was all downhill from there.  I'm seriously relieved that I didn't wind up joining anybody's tournament pool, because I only had one team left in the Final Four, and they lost Saturday night.  So by the time Monday night's game started, I had no further interest in the outcome, and I didn't bother watching.

I've had enough late nights the past three weeks watching basketball games.  It's Apri, and basketball is a winter sport.  Can we even still call it "March Madness" when the Final Four play on April 4, with the championship game on the 6th?

While I'm not ready for baseball/softball season, I am ready to put basketball on hold for a while, at least until mid-June when my daughter will play in the summer league.  There's nothing like sitting next to a west-facing outdoor court at dinnertime on a hot summer day, swatting mosquitos and pulling ticks off my first-grader.

That doesn't say "basketball" to you?
