Those of us who live in the mid-Atlantic region enjoyed a Snow Day Monday. 
I hardly saw the kids all day. The younger two were out the door by 9 AM, shoveling the walk and building an igloo with the kids next door. That igloo got bigger as the day went on. They came inside for food and hot chocolate, and stayed in long enough for their wet things to warm up in the dryer.
In the afternoon, they headed out with the neighbors to the sledding hill, dragging their "flying saucers" behind them. And after dinner, out they went again--to finish up that igloo!
It was dark by then, so my oldest son found his Boy Scout camping lantern and took that inside the igloo so they could see to work.
There's nothing like a Snow Day!
