Movie buffs would tell you that it isn't smart to go camping on Friday the 13th.
But what to do if you're a Boy Scout?
The movie series Friday the 13th takes place at the fictional Camp Crystal Lake, which happens to be a real Boy Scout camp in northwestern New Jersey.
Despite its gory association with Jason and the hapless camp counselors, this camp remains an active location where youths practice swimming, diving, boating, and archery. This last skill would presumably come in handy if they were threatened at their cabins by a guy in a hockey mask.
The Boy Scouts will likely tell scary stories around the campfire tonight, but you can be sure that while the boys are camping in this particular location, their moms are not watching certain horror flicks at home.
Especially not when it's Friday the 13th.

Camp Crystal Lake rocks!
Is Besty Palmer still haunting the camp?
Ask your nephew. He spent the weekend there last month!
I'm glad that the Scouts still go camping! I hope that it helps them to appreciate the need to protect the environment!
