It's almost time for a Super Bowl Party!
I'm not a big fan of pro football, but I am a fan of football-game food! We're getting all set for Game Day. Our hoagie order has been placed (one Italian, one American, one turkey--we'll slice them up and make a platter). 
I heard on the radio yesterday that chicken wings have gone way up in price. Apparently there's a shortage of this favorite football food, just in time for the end of the season. The guys who run the Wing Bowl in Philly say that they stocked up ahead of time, so that event will not be affected. But you might have a hard time finding wings in the supermarket, and you'll pay more for them no matter where you get them.
So if you can't get wings, I suggest this recipe that I got years ago from a cousin. Chili dip is much less messy than wings, and there are no bones. This is great with your favorite tortilla chips or even on crackers.
CHILI CHEESE DIP
1 pound ground beef, browned and drained
1 package chili seasoning mix
1 8-ounce package of cream cheese
1 6-ounce can of tomato paste
3/4 cup water
1 onion, chopped fine
1 green pepper, diced
Mix all ingredients. Place in casserole dish and bake at 350 for 30 minutes. Serve with tortilla chips.
Enjoy the game!
