I was very pleasantly surprised when my buddy Doug emailed me today saying, "Hey, UltimateCoupons.com was mentioned on the Today Show!" So obviously I did a quick search online to find anything and came up blank. I checked our traffic, though, and saw a real nice spike around 8am ET, so I knew it had to be true.
And just for the record, instead of actually watching the "Today Show" this morning, I was forced to watch Po and Tinky Winky of the "Teletubbies" as my two kids chowed down on pancakes. Well, actually only the big guy did. The little guy stared at his pancakes and laughed, then just played with these Mario Kart figures he had on the kitchen table.
Anyways, back to the good news... I did some more digging around and finally found the clip on the TODAY Show's site, courtesy of MSNBC video. I wish I could embed it, but don't see an option for that. It's part of TODAY's Consumer Smarts. It's about a 5-minute segment with consumer correspondent Janice Lieberman that's actually quite good and gives a real nice overview of the holiday shopping season, saying what to look for now, when the really big deals are coming, etc. But if you go to the 4:10 mark, they start talking about online shopping, and coupons in particular. Then they not only mention UltimateCoupons.com, but, I'm flattered and honored to say, that they mention us first. Woo! That totally made our day over here at UltimateCoupons headquarters.
