No I cannot see Mars with these things. Nor have I ever tried burning ants under a hot sun outside with 'em. And despite appearances, I've never even been to a Coca-Cola bottling company. Yeah, I'm talking about my glasses. And as you can see, I've had to put up with quite a bit of abuse about them. Guys can be so cruel can't they? Sniff.
But seriously, I hate my glasses. Yes, I would be literally walking into walls without them, but my eyesight is soo bad, that even with the "thinned" lenses, my glasses are pretty darn thick. And heavy. So I do try to wear my contact lenses as often as I can. One day maybe I'll get up enough nerve to get Lasik surgery so I won't even need contacts. It'd sure be nice to wake up one morning, look at the clock and actually be able to tell what time it is without squinting like mad.
Anyways, I bring up all this eyewear talk because it's almost the end of the year! And if you participate in a Flexible Spending Account at your job, you know you've gotta use up your funds or lose 'em. So now's about the time everyone goes nuts buying up boxes of contact lenses, new glasses, etc. So to help stretch your FSA funds even further, I've compiled the following eyewear coupons for ya.

Just a note to your readers to let them know that FSA funds can also be used to purchase OTC drugs. So if you need Tylenol, Theraflu, or anything else, go stock up on it with your available funds. I'm sure that Andrew has some coupons for Walgreens.com around here somewhere.
Okay, so I don't see Walgreens.com coupons, but I did find CVS coupons!

I just stopped by here for the first time and I'm really liking your blog. FSA's can save you a lot of money, and they are getting really convenient to use now that companies are offering debit systems rather than long, difficult claim forms. Keep up the good work Andrew!
@Tish - HAH! Nicely done, young lady. People are gonna think I hired you or something if you keep that up. Heh. But you can also check out Drugstore.com as we have a few good coupons for new customers there.
Also, if you have kids, now's the time to stock up like mad on Tylenol and motrin for infants and children. They last a long time and the little buggers suck those liquids down like candy.
I've been meaning to have my eyes checked lately. I've never worn glasses or contacts before and I'm getting terrible headaches when I read for any length of time. BTW check out my blog soon Andrew. I haven't posted about it yet but I found that portable Atari 2600 you wanted.
@Jen - Thanks very much! Always nice to have a new friendly face (er, name) around these parts. Sadly I don't take part in an FSA as I'm my own boss. I actually only took advantage of FSAs at one job I had for 2 years, but it definitely helped save some moeny.
@CG - If you're doing a lot of blogging or just web surfing, that can definitely give you headaches. I know Tish will agree that you should go right now and make an eye appointment just to be safe. Hopefully it's nothing more then eye strain. I always check your blog (subscribed awhile ago), so no worries. Can't wait to see the 2600P.
A flexible spending Account (FSA) is a way for you to put money aside tax free for important expenses. This can potentially save you hundreds of dollars in taxes. Put simply, an employer sets aside part of your earnings to pay for qualified expenses, and that process lowers the overall tax you owe at the end of the year.
My eyes are like yours I think. I have had glasses since 1967 and let me tell you they are a lot lighter today. I was lucky though the last 34 years my mother worked for eye doctors and I got mine at cost. Good job finding the coupons.
About coupons + spending accounts. I used CVS extra care bucks when I purchased otc meds there, and the total at the bottom of the receipt as "claimable" under spending account was my out of pocket, minus the cvs bucks. Does that mean I can't send it in for the purchase price? If so, please pay attention when using similar drugstore coupons.
I so to very much hate glasses, and I am really considering Lasik surgery as well. Still saving my pennies
Thanks for the 1800contacts coupon it will really help with my next order !
Is it not like a health insurance ? Great deal. But most of the coupons are looking expired.
