Back in High School I played the saxophone in our school marching band. We played halftime at a Jets game, but the one other awesome memory I have is when we all went on a trip to California as a group. I was a sophomore at the time and it was an amazing trip all around. While we got to see a ton of awesome sights up and down the west coast from L.A. down to San Francisco, we also had to "work." That meant playing at Knott's Berry Farm, doing a small show at Universal and actually performing on Main Street at Disneyland. That last part was actually really cool because before we started, we basically got to go "backstage" where all the character actors hung out and got ready to dress up for a day at Disney.

Overall it was a great trip not just for the experience of playing in such unique "arenas," but also for the chance to hang out and socialize with my friends in a setting we normally never would've come close to doing back here in NY. And what got me thinking about marching band again was this video clip a friend just sent me. It's a little long but any video game fan at all will appreciate the music and the presentation. I know I was blown away.
