I don't just play a coupon user on TV, I'm also one in real life. Yes, I spend a lot of time posting coupons and deals on our main coupon site (and as much as I can sneak in on this here blog), but I also use them just about every time I shop online. I love saving money when I can, and if I find an item I want, I'll check a few online merchants to see who has it cheapest, as well as which stores we have good coupons for.
So I thought I'd start a new regular column on here to show off any good deals or purchases I just made. I was posting one for the NFL Shop and, well, I just couldn't resist taking advantage of some good deals. And the weather's changing, so I can always use some new long-sleeve Steelers shirts, right? Right.
So I picked up these 2 long-sleeve T-shirts:

Reebok Pittsburgh Steelers Long Sleeve Faded Logo Waffle T-Shirt, $29.99
(Who can resist waffles I ask you?) This one seems to be a fairly traditional straight-up T-shirt with long sleeves. Perfect. And the already-faded look means I don't have to worry about it getting messed up in the wash. Whew.

NFL Pittsburgh Steelers Long Sleeve Big Edge T-Shirt, $44.99
From the pictures, it looks kind of like a heavy T-shirt or a light sweatshirt, so I figured it was just about perfect for the weather here right now.
That brings the total to: $74.98 plus shipping, which came to just $4.99. We have lots of NFL coupons available, but I chose to go with the 15% off one. That saved me $11.25 right there. Woooo!
But I also happened to notice on merchant's site itself that they're offering Free Shipping on Apparel items through October 21 (no code necessary). So that clinched it right there. Another $4.99 saved and I score two Steelers shirts for $63.73 , saving a total of $16.25! Not bad for a few minutes work, right?
Initial Total: $79.97
Final Payment: $63.73
Total Savings: $16.24

Dang, for $63 you could have almost bought a nose-bleed seat at Heinz field.
Kyle: Well considering I buy clothes once every 19 years, I don't mind splurging once in a while. And yeah I could get a nose-bleed seat at Heinz, but the airline tix or gas mileage would really kill me.
Great job saving money on the shirts, Andrew! And I'm sure they will look quite nice on you.
Andrew, start spamming Google like a madman, get ranked high and you can afford a luxury box! Problem is, it will only last for a week or 2. Can you believe some of these clowns we compete against?
Tish: Thanks. I just hope they fit. I have such trouble judging sizes with football stuff. They usually come in gigantic sizes so I try ordering a size down now.
Kyle: Hah! Thanks. Now someone's gonna find "spamming google" on here and get me in trouble.
But yeah, I hear ya 100% about these clowns we compete against. I'm glad you're not one of them.
