My freshman year of college I lived in the dorms. Our building was composed of suites, so every floor had about 5 suites on it with 6 students in each suite (bathrooms and small suite areas were included in each one). It was fun and definitely gave you enough personal space either within your own suite or out in the main hall. My classes on Friday always ended at 3:30 and that one was my worst, most-boringest class ever. British History. I love most things British (the accents, the people, the old TV shows, the music, etc.) and while I'm not a history buff at all, I thought it'd be a neat general class to take. Ugh was I wrong. But that's because our professor was probably the oldest, most boring man ever to hold a professorship. And he didn't so much as teach, as he did just rewrite the textbook in outline form on a chalkboard. Every. Single. Time. Zzzzzzz. I'm falling asleep just thinking about it...
Anyways, my head was always ready to explode after that class and moreso after a long week. So one Friday I came back to my suite at 3:3o and put on the Hooters' "Nervous Night" CD. It instantly relaxed me and kind of kicked off the weekend a little earlier than most people would think. It quickly became a Friday ritual and every week the girls across the hall would come over and say "Hooters Friday! Andrew's back!" So in honor of those good times that helped kick off the weekends, I give you an oldie but a very goodie:
The Hooters - And We Danced
COUPON TIME:
This one's a toughie. I could play off the word Hooters and come up with some bra coupons, but that's a bit of a stretch (no pun intended!) and to racy I think. Heh. Or I could find some travel coupons related to Philadelphia, since that's where The Hooters' roots are. But that's too specific. So instead, I'm zooming out a bit and like the song and my memories of it, I'm offering up some photo coupons, which are all about memories and reliving the good times.

Hehehehehe my nick-name is Hooters...I didn't even know there was a band named hooters..that's pretty cool.
I love going to Hooters!
Ahh memories! I remember thinking that was the coolest! song! ever! What year was that song popular? I think I was a senior in high school or just in college. I SO enjoyed that video. It really brought back some great memories. And too bad about having a class until 3:30(!) on Fridays. That wasn't a very good plan, was it?
You're the proud owner of a new award, Andrew!
Hey, you hit 100 feed subscribers
congrats!!
KT - I so am not going to ask! Heh. But yes, there is (or was) a band named the Hooters and they were a fun rockin' bunch.
Tish - Somehow I knew you'd say that... And I love it myself too. How can you not love a place with great wings, fairly cheap beer, and fried pickles! Oh and I hear they have attractive waitresses or something...
kardel - Geez. I'd have to go dig up when the album came out. I'd guess late '80s it came out. And having a class until 3:30 on Fridays wasn't bad. I was actually an excellent scheduler. I HATED mornings so I'd pile on some night classes even, and the earliest I ever had was a 10:50 in the morning I believe...
Tish again - Woo! Can't wait to see this one... If this keeps up, I'm gonna have to join the popular crowd, right?
Loretta - Woo! Thanks muchly! It's nice to know... no, scratch that... it's mind-boggingly awesome to know that 100 people actually want to hear what I'm yapping about on a regular basis. Imagine what that number would be if I wasn't so boring!
Andrew, you *hear* they have attractive waitresses? Ha! Is that what it's like to be married?
T - Heh. That was supposed to be a joke. I've actually been to Hooters quite a number of times, though we don't have one locally. But everytime I hit Chicago, L.A. or San Diego (which I used to do annually for work), I'd hit the local Hooters. In fact, I actually had my bachelor party at a Hooters. That's about as racy as that evening got...
