So I had to head into the big city today for a meeting. That'd be Manhattan. Manhattan's pretty big. And even if you park in a garage and walk only a few blocks or avenues, you'll soon find that even one "little" avenue can seem to be like taking 5,000 steps. And of course since I was near Rockefeller Center, I couldn't resist heading over to the Nintendo World store and spending way too much money on anything and everything Mario related for my kids. Okay, okay. I got myself two shirts and a pair of Mario boxer shorts too. I couldn't resist, y'know?
And after the long walk back to the car (and yes, I actually walked into the WRONG parking garage at first... walked down like 3 very long ramps until the guy told me I wanted the OTHER garage a block away. Which turned out to be a very long Avenue away. Which seemed to take forever. But who's complaining?), I got to sit in nice non-rush-hour traffic. Manhattan is pretty crowded. Toss in an accident or two, a baker's dozen of school buses stopping regularly, and it might've taken me almost 2 hours to get home. But I made it. Woo. And man are my feet killing me.
