I don't know why, but I just love football. Playing it's fun, but I'm talking about tossing back a few beers while downing way too many spicy wings and nachos and watching the Pittsburgh Steelers, well, most likely get trounced if we're talking last year. I think it's the fact that the season's so short so every single game matters. And for the most part, all games are played one day a week. So it's not like following dozens of games and teams on a daily basis. Much easier on my already addled brain. I believe the Monday following Super Bowl Sunday should be a national holiday. Instant replay is okay in my book. And the refs really need to go back to their old outfits; last year's "modernized" shirts were laughable.
Yes, I am officially getting out of my NFL-withdrawl as the summer quickly passes by and talks of the "p" word (preseason!) is a rumbling. Wooooo! So what better time to take advantage of the NFL package from DIRECTV and make sure you catch every single game next season. Hopefully my wife's reading this so she can see what an amazing money-saving deal this is. Not only do we get the informative and highly educational NFL Package, but we get the Premier package (complete with tons of premium channels) for free for 4 months! She'll understand that it's not an amusement but a necessity in this day and age. Right? Right? Uh, hello? Sigh. Pass the nachos, will ya?
